I build software that can't misuse your data, rather than software that promises it won't.
I am one of two founders at Dooplin, a bootstrapped software company registered in Barcelona. My half of it is product and engineering: designs, plans, and builds the products — the architecture, the code, and the decisions about what each tool is allowed to do with your data.
Privacy and security are architecture, not policy. A promise lasts until the incentives change; a system that never had your browsing history cannot be persuaded, subpoenaed, or breached into handing it over. So the interesting decisions are rarely about frameworks — they are about what a system is allowed to remember, and almost every failure I have studied began with an organisation holding something it had no reason to hold.
The rest of the time I write: about how things get designed, how they get built, and how they get broken into. Mostly the third, because that is where the first two finally show their working.

Your archive is yours. Captures, metadata and identifiers export in open formats on request or on exit. A takedown removes the record, its captures and its search entries, and propagates.

Eight Login Walls
I pointed a crawler at eight Facebook posts from the July uprising and got back eight identical login walls with no text in them. Most of what I now believe about building systems that keep things came out of that afternoon.
